A framework for understanding and discussing regenerative principles in building - from core values to specific indicators and actions.

The Regenerative Design Dialogue Framework is a visual tool that enables a holistic approach to regenerative building. The model is based on four concentric layers: On the outermost layer are the core values that form the foundation of the entire approach. Next come design principles and systemic approaches, while the innermost rings contain concrete indicators and practical actions.
The framework promotes dialogue, reflection, and collaboration across disciplines, making complexity manageable. It supports a shift from linear planning to living processes, where building is viewed as part of larger social and ecological systems.
The Aarhus Center for Regenerative Building has developed this framework tool based on existing models.
